Renowned for its quality education and excellent track record of providing first-class graduates, KBU International College has become a household name and enjoys far-reaching collaboration with international educational institutes from the UK and around the world.

The College was established by the First Nationwide Group, developer of the 1000-acre fully-integrated and successful township of Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. With a purpose designed campus that sits on a 13-acre site within Bandar Utama, students are able to experience state-of-the-art learning facilities as well as a comprehensive range of sports and recreational facilities. As such, students can benefit from a campus environment that is conducive for study and receive a holistic education.

Student Services

International Student Office
The International Student Office, located at the Student Services Department, looks after the welfare of all international students. A range of assistance and services is provided to students after they are accepted for admission. These includethe application and renewal of student visa/pass, free airport pick-up, free telephone call back home upon arrival, opening of bank account, periodic reporting to parents or guardian of students, etc.

Counselling services on academic and non-academic matters are also available to all students. Friendly and helpful counsellors are always available to assist students.

The hostel is located at the Centrepoint - a neighborhood convenience centre which is within walking distance of the College. Security is provided by a card-access system. Security guards are stationed at the foyer entrance around the clock. There are wardens who are responsible for looking after the welfare of the tenants. There are five types of rooms available at the hostel and each tenant will be provided with a bed, mattress, study table, chair and a locker. Every room has a ceiling fan and all rooms in a unit share a common bathroom. Students may need to buy their own pillow and bed spreads. A wide screen television set is provided in the student lounge. Cooking is not permitted in the hostel.

School of Engineering & Computing

Department of Engineering
The Department of Engineering offers programmes in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University, UK.

Students who have obtained their SPM/GCE-level or equivalent qualification can further their studies in Foundation in Engineering, Science & Technology. Upon completion, students can proceed to the following degree programmes

  • BEng (Hons) Electrical & Electronic Engineering (3+0)
  • BSc (Hons) Computer & Network Engineering (3+0)

Students with pre-university qualifications such as STPM, GCE A-Levels, AUSMAT or its equivalent and who have fulfilled the entry requirements may enter directly into the degree programmes at KBU.

The Department of Computing offers a 3-semester NCC Level 4 Diploma in Computing for students with SPM/ ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualifications as a foundation programme for admission to the following computing programmes:

The School of Business, Hospitality and Tourism Management offers a 3-semester Foundation in Business Administration and three diploma programmes which are specially designed for students with qualifications in SPM/ GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent. Students who have completed the foundation programme, STPM, GCE A-Levels, AUSMAT or other pre-university qualifications and have fulfilled the entry requirements may enter the following degree programmes conducted in collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University, UK :

  • BA (Hons) Business Management (3+0)
  • BA (Hons) Marketing (3+0)
  • BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance (3+0)

School of Design

The School of Design offers programmes conducted in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, UK. It conducts the Foundation in Art & Design for students with SPM, GCE ‘O’ Level, STPM, GCE ‘A’ Level, UEC or equivalent qualification.

After the foundation programme, students who have fulfilled the entry requirements may proceed to the following degree programmes:

  • BA (Hons) Graphic Design (3+0)
  • BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design (3+0)
  • BA (Hons) Furniture and Product Design (3+0)
