Master of Accounting

This CPA accredited programme is designed to give you enhanced knowledge and skills to equip you for professional accounting and financial management careers locally and internationally.

This programme will help you:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of Australian and international accounting, auditing, taxation and financial management concepts, methods and techniques.

Master of Finance

Accredited by the Australasian Institute of Banking and Finance, this Australian degree will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed in Australian and international financial markets.

Master of Marketing

A programme accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute that is designed to provide you with advanced knowledge in marketing which will increase your strategic decision-making skills in marketing.

This programme will help you:
Enhance your skills in competitive marketing strategies, public relations, electronic marketing, buyer behaviour, strategic business planning, advertising and market research methodologies.

Entry Requirements
Students are required to meet these criteria to be accepted into the Curtin master’s programmes:

  • Recognised bachelor’s degree* OR
  • Equivalent academic qualification and relevant work experience (assessed on an individual basis) AND
  • English language: IELTS (Reading & Listening: 6.0, Writing & Speaking: 6.0; Overall Band 6.5), TOEFL (570/above) or CUTE (Grade A/B)

* Master of Accounting – a recognised bachelor’s degree in a field other than accounting OR a completed Accounting professional qualification (e.g. ACCA & CIMA);
* Master of Finance – a recognised bachelor’s degree in a field other than finance;
* Master of Marketing – a recognised bachelor’s degree from any field with one year of relevant work experience.


  • Possible exemptions or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) up to a maximum 4 units.
  • RPL may not be granted for a postgraduate programme for prior studies below the undergraduate level.
  • Limited RPL may be granted for a postgraduate programme for completion of undergraduate level studies where the outcomes achieved within the undergraduate programme are considered directly relevant to the requirements of the postgraduate programme. A maximum of one third or one year of the credit value of a course, whichever is the lesser, may be granted for a postgraduate programme.
  • Applicants need to provide supportive evidence for content comparison in the application for RPL, e.g. certified copies of award certificates, complete transcripts, course outline or professional qualification.

For each unit of study, students will receive a total of at least 40 contact hours of lectures:

  • A 12-hour compulsory weekend lecture is conducted by a visiting Curtin lecturer.
  • Metropolitan College academicians will conduct between 28 to 44 hours of lecture.
  • Lectures are on weekends.

Upon receiving your application, the programme consultant will process and notify you of your application status within one week.


  • Successful applicants will receive a Letter of Offer and Acceptance of Offer.
  • To accept the offer, submit the following to the Program Consultant
    - A completed Acceptance of Offer.
    - Payment for one semester’s indicative tuition fees.
  • Payment can be made either in money order, bank draft or cheque payable to “Metropolitan College Sdn. Bhd.” Cash payments in person are also accepted.
  • Thereafter, you will be enrolled and a Student Card will be issued to you.


How to find us
Our campus is located at the heart of bustling Subang Jaya, about 15km from the Kuala Lumpur City Centre. The Subang Jaya township boasts a large number of restaurants and fast food outlets that range from internationally renowned franchises such as McDonald’s and Burger King to smaller shops such as Asia Café that offer a wide variety of good food.

It is possible to take a commuter train that reaches the city within 20 minutes. A bus stop is located just outside the College gates. An efficient taxi service provides alternate means of transport to and from anywhere in the city. On-campus parking is also available.
